Numa daquelas “sortes” no mundo quase infinito de arquivos da internet, fiz um achado – embora vários já possam ter deparado e usufruído – que me deixou muito contente. Os “Poem Animation Movie”. O artista Jim Clark London criou uma série de animações com poemas clássicos; são recitados pelos próprios autores, como Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, Charles Baudelaire etc. A partir de uma foto, ele dá movimentos à face e outros elementos, fazendo com que se pareça uma antiga gravação, filmada, com voz e efeitos sonoros que reproduzem uma atmosfera de época. Muito interessante, mesmo. E as “dublagens” me pareceram primorosas, muito bonitas; também parecem querer reproduzir a voz, a entonação, as pausas etc. dos/as poetas. Mesmo para quem – como eu – manja muito pouco de inglês ou francês (tem ao menos um poema em espanhol, de Lorca, e um outro em italiano), é algo muito do bacana ouvir e ver os vídeos, acompanhando o fluir das palavras. Para quem gosta de poesia, pode ser algo emocionante e que coloca o poema num outro patamar: entra no mundo do vídeo.
Em cada vídeo, há informações sobre o poeta e o poema num box ao lado, conforme o layout característico do site YouTube. Também dá também para acompanhar a narração lendo o poema reproduzido nessa caixa.
Para quem gosta de poesia, pode ser algo emocionante e que coloca o poema num outro patamar: entra no mundo do vídeo, da multimídia e das interações permitidas pela babilônica internet.

The Garden of Love
I went to the Garden of Love,
And saw what I never had seen;
A Chapel was built in the midst,
Where I used to play on the green.
And the gates of this Chapel were shut,
And 'Thou shalt not' writ over the door;
So I turned to the Garden of Love
That so many sweet flowers bore.
And I saw it was filled with graves,
And tombstones where flowers should be;
And priests in black gowns were walking their rounds,
And binding with briars my joys and desires.
